This September, Nelson's Tour de Test Valley enters its fifth year furthering its efforts to increase awareness around mental health in men, working charity CALM.
Set up by friends of professional snowboarder and cycling obsessive Nelson Pratt, who tragically passed in 2012, the triple-route sportive will look to get riders out loving cycling and raising money for CALM, the campaign against living miserably.
Taking place on Saturday 16th September, the sportive will take riders through the quiet lanes of Hampshire, with options of 40km, 80km and 160km rides.
The Tour de Test Valley expects to have 800 cyclists take part across the three events, with prices ranging from £20 to £30 for entry. All profits will go to CALM.
The route promises to take in the best climbs and fastest descents in the area, taking in the stunning views of the North Wessex Downs.
Included in the entry fee are all the usual perks of most sportives. There will be fully stocked feed zones, mechanical support and even a hot meal for every rider at the finish.
The profits of the sportive will all go to charity CALM. In the past four editions, the Tour de Test Valley has managed to raise £200,000 for the charity.
Calm is a charity that works towards the prevention of male suicide by speaking the men on their own terms about music, sport, fashion or whatever they want.
Thanks to the partnership with sportive, the charity says it has been able to prevent 1020 suicides helping facilitate 28,570 helpline calls and web chats.
Details of how to enter the sportive can be found on the Nelson's Tour de Test Valley sportive page.
