The Tour de Yorkshire (TdY) recently enjoyed its fourth edition, attracting some of the world’s greatest riders and more than two million spectators.
So, to celebrate, we’re giving one reader the chance to own an original artwork by the race’s official artist Lucy Pittaway.
Since 2016, each edition has been commemorated in paint by the award-winning artist and this year she produced five original works celebrating the Tour.
Four of these depict each of the four stages of the race. ‘Arts and Culture’, for example, commemorates the first stage, between Beverley and Doncaster.
'Yorkshire Heritage', meanwhile, shows Stage 2 between Barnsley and Ilkely, 'Market Towns', depicts Stage 3 and the route between Pittaway’s hometown of Richmond and Scarborough; while 'The Yorkshire Terrier' shows the closing stage between Halifax and Leeds.
The fifth piece, shown above, is called ‘Welcome to Yorkshire!’ and vividly captures the crowds greeting the riders as they tackled the iconic Park Rash climb during Stage 4.
For your chance to win a mounted limited-edition print of your choice from this year’s TdY collection – available to view at lucypittaway.co.uk– just enter your details and answer this simple question.
