It has finally happened. Rapha has teamed up with tech giant Apple and now the two brands have released a line of limited edition Rapha accessories exclusively for Apple products.
Designed by Rapha, the products will be available exclusively at Apple with the focus being on those who travel by bike with their tech.
In the range will be cases for all Apple products from the iPone to the MacBook.
The British cycling brand used the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil application to design these new accessories, and includes a mini messenger bag to carry the iPhone, which can be worn on the back or attached to the bike, and laptop sleeves for MacBooks from 12 to 15 inches.
All the products in the range have been made with 'durable' water-resistant fabrics and cushioned padding within the bags to protect the tech helping it meet the many demands of urban riding and commuting.
Style-wise, Rapha has stayed close to home with a Brevet-esque colour scheme that includes its usually Navy and Hi-Vis pink, Chartreuse and Silver and Black and Grey.
The design is also very clean, just like you would expect from Rapha and Apple, with very little excess.
As you would also expect from Rapha and Apple, these items are not cheap. Starting at £50 for the 'tech organiser', the convertible backpack will set you back £115 while the miniature mini messenger bag comes in at a cool £100.
You will not be able to pick these items up in your local Rapha Cafe store as they will be sold exclusively at Apple, with the chances being that if you want to snap an item up you will have to turn to online.
Alex Valdman, creative director at Rapha spoke of the precision that went into this collaboration and the importance of staying on-brand.
'We approached this project by focusing on precision, quality and problem-solving, and empathising with the commuter whose journey is four miles or 40 miles,' said Valdman
'We worked with one of the best mills in Italy to source the most beautifully durable twills and with a master craftsman in London and Portugal on endless iterations.
'Creating these unique products was no easy task as thousands of hours were spent developing, prototyping and testing, with iPad Pro and Apple Pencil acting as our primary design tools.
'What has resulted are products that I feel embody Rapha's design values.'
This is the latest in a long line of brand extensions Rapha has executed in the past 12 months with the brand even launching its own saddle earlier in the year.
