The Pan Celtic Race is a 1,600-mile self-supported cycling adventure, through Cornwall, Wales, Ireland and back to Wales. This year a film crew followed the riders from the sign-on right through to the finish line in Llandudno. The resulting film will now have its premiere in the far more urban setting of Cloud 9 Cycles, just around the corner from Cyclist HQ in Bloomsbury, London.
Taking place on Friday 6th December, the event will be free to attend (although you'll still need to register for tickets), and will also include a showing of Restrap’s film about riding in Japan called Arigatou.
Anyone inspired by either film will also be able to get in a spot of bike touring too, with a ride-out leaving the shop on the following morning and heading down to Enigma Bikes and the South Coast.
Led by the creator of the Pan Celtic race, and costing £40 to attend, entry includes accommodation at a traditional British pub in Hailsham, plus breakfast on Sunday morning before the final stretch down to the seaside.

Pan Celtic Race
Slated for a second edition starting 5th July 2020 in Kingsand, Cornwall, the route of the race will cover 1,600 miles (2575 km) and 100,000 ft (30,480m) of elevation as it passes through Cornwall’s moorland and sprawling coastline past Padstow and Tintagel Castle.
From here riders will cross the English ‘Celtic Corridor’ beside Glastonbury Tor and through Cheddar Gorge before heading into Wales and onto the Brecon Beacons. Through Pembrokeshire and the ancient Celtic city of St Davids, riders will reach Fishguard and the ferry to Ireland.
Up the west coast and to the Wicklow Mountains, Dublin is the location of the return ferry, ahead of the last leg in North wales.
If that sounds appealing, the film will provide a great overview of what you might be signing up for, while the ride will give you a chance to chat with the organiser too.
