The multi-day event in Zambia may not happen if more riders do not sign up

The World Bicycle Relief needs your help. In September this year, it will be taking a group of cyclists out to Zambia for a 490km bike adventure across the country's wild planes.

Traversing the enormous lakes and rich wetlands, you will navigate your way over eight days to the finish line at Victoria Falls, the world's largest waterfall.

It will be a breathtaking experience to remember, one for the bucket list, but it's the impact of why you will be riding that will likely leave you with the most to be proud of.

As for every rider that takes on the World Bicycle Relief Zambia ride, 23 rugged Buffalo Bikes will be transported to Africa, Indonesia and South America for those most in need.

The bikes are given to those who have to spend large amounts of time walking to school, work or even local hospitals giving them a more time-efficient option.

It is for this reason that the trip costs £2,500. A lot of money, granted, but when you consider the experiences you will have in the wilds of Zambia and the people you will help around the world, it's worth it.

At the moment, this trip risks not taking place due to a lack of entrants. For it to happen, the World Bicycle Relied needs another five people to sign up by the end of the month.
