A compilation of tunes picked by the likes of Alaphilippe, Bennett and Evenepoel

Professional cyclists have been spending more time than usual on their turbo trainers recently. And as they while away the hours circling the fictitious Zwift island of Watopia or scaling the cobbled bergs of Belgium for the virtual Tour of Flanders, they plug themselves into hours of music to keep their minds suitably focused.

Deceuninck-QuickStep, technically the best cycling team in the world, have put together three Spotify playlists for the ultimate indoor training session.

Compiling suggestions from riders like prodigy Remco Evenepoel, pocket rocket Julian Alaphilippe and domestique-fantastique Tim Declercq the 'Wolfpack Playlists' focus on 'warm-up', your 'full gas' session and 'cooling down'.

Or as the team put it 'get In The Zone is perfect to start your day after savouring a nice Wolfpack Espresso, Full Gas is just what you need for a session of intense training which will make you feel like taking on some of the hardest climbs in the world, while Cooling Down is perfect for a quiet afternoon or a lazy Sunday.'

Having a little flick through the three playlists, there is a decent spread of tunes from the likes of Queen, Don Henley of the Eagles, Linkin Park and even Los Lobos - of La Bamba fame.

But, as to be expected with the majority of Deceuninck-QuickStep's roster hailing from the lowlands of Belgium and the Netherlands, there is no surprise that all three playlists are laced with pumping electro-dance beats.

Oh, and there is even a sample of the new 'Wolfpack Anthem', the new team song apparently.

On compiling the playlist, Evenpoel said that he hopes the songs picked by him and his teammates will be able to help fans understand a bit more about the team.

'When the team told me about this, I was immediately hooked,' explained Evenepoel. 'The hardest part was picking just three songs, as there are so many that I like, but in the end, I made a selection and I hope it will give our fans a taste of how things are inside the team, and they will enjoy them.'

And if you're wondering what songs 20-year-old Remco opted for they were 'Goose - Synrise', 'Pat B - Chernobyl' and 'Travis Scott - Highest in the Room'.
