Founder of his eponymous bike brand, Ernesto Colnago celebrates his 85th on Thursday 9th February. To mark his birthday, bike builders at Colnago have introduced the Ottanta5 Ltd Edition Bike and each will carry Ernesto's signature.
The bike is based on the existing Colnago C60 frame but each one will be custom made by hand and will carry the original Colnago logo from 1954, something the brand says will be 'a nod to the glorious past of Colnago.'
There will only be 85 of the silver metallic gloss painted bikes produced. They will be made from high quality carbon fibre, and will be 'designed using the successful formula generated over Enesto Colnago's long career.'
A full bike using one of the Colnago Ottanta5 Limited Edition frames, and built with Campagnolo Super Record EPS groupset, a set of Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50 wheels and Colnago's own Ottanta5 bar and stem will go on sale for £9999.95.
