Adam and Simon Yates are set to miss the 2017 Tour de France, and will instead take joint leadership of Orica-Scott's Giro d'Italia squad.
Both British riders are then expected to join Esteban Chaves at the Vuelta a Espana towards the end of the season.
Chaves will have sole leadership at his debut Tour de France, where he will be looking to gain his third Grand Tour podium finish.
The Colombian came second and third respectively in 2016's Giro and Vuelta, and only lost out on the overal win in Italy on the penultimate stage to a resurgent Vincenzo Nibail.
'The plan for the Giro d’Italia is to go with a two-pronged attack with the Yates brothers riding for the general classification,' said Matt White, Orica DS.
'It's a very special edition of the Giro and maybe the toughest last week of a Grand Tour I have ever seen.
'The boys are up to the challange and it looks to be the best field ever assembled.'
Adam put in a standout performance at the 2016 Tour de France when he finished fourth and took the best young rider's white jersey. He was just 21 seconds off a podium finish.
After serving a suspension due to an administrative error by the team's medical staff, Simon bounced back to finish sixth at the Vuelta, and recorded a stage win along the way.
