The Isle of Wight was rightly described as the best place in the world for cycling by renowned travel guide The Lonely Planet.
As part of British Cycling's new 'Ride Social' feature, the best of the Island's riding has been showcased in a video by blogger Tim Wiggins.
It's one of three in a competition, and you can vote for your favourite now on BC's Share Your Ride page.
The route chosen by Wiggins took riders up nine testing, dead-end climbs which he named 'The Nine Roads to Nowhere'.
Riders tackled the ascents to lighthouses and coastguard cottages on varying road surfaces throughout a long day in the saddle.
'The climbs are some of my favourites because of their challenging gradients and variety of surfaces,' said Wiggins.
Drone footage gives a small indication of the amazing views cyclists experience when riding on the Isle of Wight, something Wiggins mentions as helping conquer the often gruelling terrain.
'The ride is a fantastic way to see the best views, ride the best climbs, and push yourself to your limits; on the beautiful Isle of Wight,' he told Cyclist.
'Favourite climb? They are all unique, but The Needles Coastguard station climb is a real classic, and the views are incredible; plus, it's traffic free.'
The video is up against two others, both with their own merits. One is an urban tour of London's best graffiti and also shows the benefit of London's slowly increasing segregated cycle infrastructure.
The final video goes heavy on the varying depth of field camera technique but shows some of Kent's best cycling roads. The best part of this social ride are the brevet cards each rider carries, gaining a stamp at every checkpoint.
