The Big Issue Foundation is an independently registered charity working alongside the magazine distribution network with a vision to end poverty and exclusion for Big Issue vendors.
The Foundation's mission is to connect Big Issue vendors to the vital support and personal solutions needed to rebuild their lives.
Every one of the 2,000 plus people the Foundation supports each year is a vendor of The Big Issue magazine. Vendors buy the magazine for £1.25 and sell it for £2.50.
The Foundation works to support each vendor to maximise their sales of the Big Issue magazine whilst – in the process - enabling them to address long standing finance, health, accommodation and other disadvantages that have previously held them back.
RideLondon sees 25,000 riders take to the roads of London and Surrey to complete a modified version of the 100 mile Olympic Road Race route made famous at the 2012 Games.
Starting in Queen Elizabeth Park, you’ll cycle on closed roads through Central London and into Surrey before finishing on The Mall outside Buckingham Palace.
Directly support vendors
Through joining Team TBIF, your fundraising will go directly towards supporting vendors like Matthew. From opening a bank account to help accessing addiction treatment services, The Big Issue Foundation has had a truly transformational impact on Matthew’s life.
RideLondon proves extremely popular every year so make sure you register here as soon as possible. If you need any other information, to contact the Big Issue Foundation events team on events@bigissue.com or 0207 526 3459.
