Team Sky will once again use Stages Power Meters in 2017. This will be the fourth season that Stages has supplied the British squad, a team known for riding to numbers.
For the 2017 racing season, Team Sky will be using the new Stages Power Dura-Ace 9100 production model along with the previous Shimano 9000 models. There will also be exclusive prototypes to look out for throughout the year.

Recent photographs of Team Sky's race bikes show a combination of new Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 and older 9000 parts. While the front and rear mechs are from the newest offering, the chainset comes from the older incarnation of Shimano's leading groupset.
'Even in the worst conditions the Stages meter was reliable, consistent, and accurate,' said Carsten Jeppesen, Head of Technical Performance for Team Sky. 'We couldn’t ask for more as we head into the 2017 season.'

The Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 groupset will come with a power meter later this season for Shimano sponsored teams - and those that want it, but teams who use Stages and SRM are likely to stick with their existing power meters.
